A recent report, 'An overview of food waste in the Hospitality sector', authored by Oakdene Hollins and commissioned by WRAP, established that the cost of food waste in the UK hospitality and food service industry is £2.5 billion each year, and is rising. The report also showed that there are significant opportunities across the whole hospitality and food service sector to reduce costs by tackling food waste.
