European Remanufacturing Network meeting in Grenoble

The ERN partners met in Grenoble on 15 March 2016.

David Fitzsimons chaired a meeting of the European Remanufacturing Network at the University of Grenoble Alpes on 15 March.

“The European Commission has funded this work through Horizon 2020 and Oakdene Hollins is delighted to be leading it," said David. "This meeting of our partners was an opportunity to exchange information and investigate how innovation investment could accelerate the growth and employment opportunities in the European remanufacturing sector. I enjoyed meeting everyone in one of Europe’s most appealing regions.”

After chairing the ERN meeting, David was at a follow-up meeting of the research partners at Kaunas in Lithuania on 18 March 2016.

“The growth and jobs opportunities in this part of the circular economy appear to be important – not least because of the higher level of skills required compared to material recycling. The discussion was around how the European Remanufacturing Council can drive forward this agenda," he said.
