Oakdene Hollins Director Simon Scholes awarded Top 75 Influencers award in the UK Plastics sector
Simon Scholes, Director at Oakdene Hollins, was thrilled to receive his 75@75 award from Interplas for being in the top 75 influencers within the plastics industry last week. Interplas hosts the UK’s leading plastics event every 3 years to showcase the latest innovations in materials and it celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2023.
The award was voted by peers throughout the community which goes to show the positive impact Simon has had on the industry. His work in post-consumer reclaim and recycling succeeded in producing many sustainable recycling programs within multiple sectors. This includes his notable achievement of setting up VEKA Compounds new PVC window recycling plant in 2019 that converts virgin and post-consumer profiles into polymer of high-grade in his previous role. We are proud of Simon for achieving the award and look forward to learning from his over 20 years of expertise in the sector.
The growth of the plastics industry has been influential on all aspects of life but now as we look to become a sustainable planet, we must look to better use of plastics. - Simon Scholes, Director & Principal Consultant at Oakdene Hollins
