The ReRuN project for resilient remanufacturing

A workshop in Birmingham on the circular economy, hosted by the ReRuN project (Resilient Remanufacturing Networks: Forecasting, Informatics and Holons), was a great opportunity for academics and practitioners to brainstorm and exchange ideas on the topic of operations management in the circular economy. Our own Owain Griffiths and Dr Rachel Waugh, representing the Conseil Européen de Remanufacture, were there to take part in the informative and constructive discussions in this area.

ReRuN is one of the projects from the Panalpina Centre for Manufacturing & Logistics Research at Cardiff University, which brings academics from Cardiff’s Schools of Business and of Engineering and practitioners from Panalpina together to tackle important contemporary problems in logistics and manufacturing management. Oakdene Hollins, through the Conseil Européen de Remanufacture, is one of the policy advisors to the project.
