Remanufacturing Council represented at UN International Resource Panel seminar

The CER was at the UN International Resource Panel’s seminar on Reuse, Repair, Refurbishment and Remanufacture in Brussels.

David Parker and Edward Sims, of the Conseil Européen de Remanufacture, took part in the UN International Resource Panel’s seminar on Reuse, Repair, Refurbishment and Remanufacture on 7-8 February in Brussels.  This first event on the topic gathered perspectives from OEMs, repairers, remanufacturers, charities and others on policy actions that could promote these activities.

Very spirited sessions yielded recommendations to take forward to the G7 summit immediately following.  David contributed by facilitating a remanufacturer plenary discussion.

Another highlight was the launch by RIC’s Nabil Nasr of UN-IRP’s quantification of remanufacturing impacts and benefits study; a very useful contribution to the evidence for remanufacturing.
